As a music source I used mainly a netbook. But here there is also strong on the used Bluetooth stack (driver) on mood! There are for Windows (to my knowledge) 3 Bluetooth stacks: WIDCOMM (Broadcom), Toshiba and BlueSolei.
Negative I find the sound in conjunction with the WIDCOMM drivers. Thus, the tone sounds somewhat dull and scratchy. With cheap netbooks unfortunately a Broadcom Bluetooth module is usually found.
Very good experience at the sound quality I have made in connection with the Toshiba driver (eg, with the "Hama Nano Bluetooth USB Adapter Version 2.1 + EDR Class 2", available here at Amazon). But for the sound quality must be set to "High Quality" only in the Toshiba Bluetooth settings. For this you click the Bluetooth Settings dialog on the receiver, and then click the [Detail ...] button. In the next dialog you can now adjust the sound quality. By default, there is "Low Quality" preset. But higher quality also means a greater data throughput, which ultimately affects the battery life. The sound quality setting affects all Bluetooth receiver and headphones / headsets, not only the Raikko. The WIDCOMM drivers I have found no such adjustment.
How the case is with the BlueSolei stack, so far I could not test.
