I still remember very well, "Holiday" was on the radio at a UK channels and I found this song right away well and am going the same and bought the single (this version there are unfortunately to date on any album, would necessarily here it belongs). Then once came Madonna radio silence with me, I just saw that even "Borderline" and "Lucky Star" big hits were in the US. Only "Like A Virgin" made me sit up again and "Into The Groove" has then made me a fan. Since then I have ("The First Album" and "Like A Virgin") bought both records at once and am to this day remained true to Madonna and her music, always with ups and downs. "Madonna" / "The First Album" (the cover of the new edition, I found really much better) is an LP with 8 predominantly longer, almost always danceable songs with the three single hits are certainly the highlights, but also "Burning Up", "Everybody "or" Physical Attraction "you can listen well and a real failure is not included. That Madonna years later and to this day the most successful pop singer would be, but in 1983 was probably no inkling that this LP has bought back then. But they had at their album debut a special gift, and visually present themselves: what late 70s wore punk, she has made acceptable and mainstream compatible and this style has also still in the movie "Susan ... Desperately Seeking" carried on. Back to album: Fans have it anyway, but who perhaps is as a young man carefully the new album "Rebel Heart", should check it out in the beginning of this career, order "Madonna". As regards the new mastering, so I have to say that my original CD has enough I have this issue only in the Complete box, but it has succeeded in all sounds just a bit louder and fuller, if you both CDs side by side listen. The two bonus tracks, I personally find not so successful, I would be the 7 "versions have preferred, especially the Holiday. But if I want to hear the, I thank God, still the single and a turntable.
