The new (or better current because so new it's not more) MBP is undoubtedly a hot machine. The design - you have less than seen in the hand have had. It just feels great, everything is there where it belongs, looks good and it feels especially so what of sophisticated and high quality verabeitet to ... Because just can not keep my acquaintance PC, not even in the approach. Everything seemed very sturdy, tidy ... I fall again into raptures.
But unfortunately is not only the design hot. The underside of the MBP is more than just warm. That depends, of course, now very much on the capacity utilization from, but I guess whoever indulges in the i7 processor, wants more than just chat and surf. For me, the bottom was so hot that I could not keep there permanently hand what (to measure it accurately without) means at least 45 °. If this or a higher temperature outside is present, how hot it may be inside or even on the CPU? Although I think that one has quite considered the matter at Apple, although there is no question that the service life of components suffer permanent sensitive under such temperatures, not just the hard drive like> 45 ° C permanently. So if you wanted to leave the MBP sometimes expect overnight, should look for another device to possibly. Being just one (like me) would be willing to pay the extra to i7 ...
I do not want in any case that the MBP heat death dies right after the warranty. Therefore, mine is on the way back to Apple. What it is now to be - no idea, because the alternatives are really rare when one has once set to Apple. Probably the smallest 13 "MBP for Erstparte can in 2 years again 13 a" buy it, which is probably then already faster than the current 15 "-Topmodell ...
Oh, a few things that you have to live as a potential Macbook Pro Besitzter, although bother me properly, but I would just put up with are,
- Only 2 USB interfaces
- No eSATA
- No USB 3
- No ExpressCard slot (?!? Why Zeus A rich ... Apple has installed a SD card reader in the penultimate upgrade here)
- (Admittedly would be otherwise quite a lot of interfaces on the left side) FW400 only via adapter
- DVI / HDMI only via adapter
- Matt, non-glossy display only for the high-res version for 150, - surcharge.
- And give the HEAT !!!
Pro nevertheless remains hanging
+ Fast, very fast even (which I have no comparison Mac, so can not really make the reference measurement)
+ Very high-quality finish, nothing creaks, twisted up, rattling ...
+ The Haptic - it really is a joy to touch the device. When I think I regret my decision to send in almost re ...
Neutral because for me positively, for left-handed, despite quite thoughtful multitouch trackpad but, if you use a mouse probably a Kathastrophe: all connections and cables go to the left side away. This means better accessibility than the back (because the display is in the way), yet nothing interferes. It just seems tidier.
So, hope one or the other to have helped. I order now, just the 13 "model - perhaps you will find there so soon a better rating ...
