The system is easy to install, but the manual is (printed in 100 languages perceived) plenty of confused and does not go into detail. There are for example no tips or hints on troubleshooting. You need a sharp knife (I used a 18mm cutter, of a pair of scissors I would because of the squeezing of the tubes advise), to be cut to length, the respective tubes, but everything is not a problem. Some of the proposed irrigation compilations I find a little odd (20 2l / h drippers are powered by a 4 mm line), but it should be!
Who needs to turn to the main pipe tight radii, will run into problems: The pipe can be limited turn cold and prone to buckling, as it is very thin-walled. Such tight radii should be carried with a slight tube (is only 1.5 bar pressure on it), but this is no longer to make only with the supplied parts (see below). The 4mm tube, however, is quite flexible, but also not a silicone tube. The 13er tube is also somewhat stubborn and can not be readily interpreted completely straight. Caused by the rolling up of the tube base bending of the material can be removed only very expensive and probably only with a heat gun (or the sun) again. Who just needed lines, eventually should draw on a hose back or rigid pipes used (both not part of the basic package).
Ultimately, it makes really fun to plan an irrigation system and then implement with this product. When you turn on the faucet, this will change somewhat: With me are 6 built large T-adapters 4 significantly leaked (of strong drops to several fine jets everything was there). It was found that the click system with stainless steel clamps not work on the T-adapters in all cases. I have any connection several times nachgeschoben and some even cut all over again. In these cases, I had the feeling that my section was at an angle and the pipe was not clean the adapter. In effect, this has only reduced the problem and not resolved. I have the click-sheets of large T-adapter carefully removed to the leaks with the pliers and replaced with hose clamps. After all four Hose Clamps (with 6 adapters and connections possible 12) I had to block, so that the system was tight. Now drips nothing more, but I am curious to see how it behaves when the first 30-degree day comes and stretch the tubes and become soft. As I again looked at the package, if the system is really from Gardena! This result, I am sorry because I did not expect otherwise.
It comes with two types of drippers: Some are integrated into a T-piece for 4mm pipes / hoses and drip with officially 2l / h, the others are intended as end pieces for the 4mm pipe and dripping with 0-20l / h. For me, some of 2l / h dripper were highly variable have not measured in the amount of liquid (I, however, would argue that the "slowest" dropper something half as fast, the "fastest" little more than twice as fast as the average Tropfmaß dripping). I have per 1m planter installed three droppers and 4 flower boxes, the result was always different. It had nothing to do with the order, once the first dropper dripping after the road more, sometimes the third or second. But I think that's unacceptable. You can adjust anything at this drippers unfortunately, it is then, as it is. The 0-20er drippers this is of course no problem. Here, however, showed that the zero position (ie the complete closure of the dropper) sometimes did not work out. At least two droppers are not tight. But I think that this is not really a problem, except you have to use such a dropper as a conclusion. Overall, the drippers are but satisfactory, and then work with the variation shown above as part of the necessities. If you appreciate a uniform Betropfung, possibly should order "real" Tees accessory retailers and provided with the adjustable drippers.
I think this product is actually quite decent to wish the pipe material the pipes but leaves something. By replacing the supplied pipes to better material or against tubes (including the use of hose clamps with about 15mm clamp diameter), the package would then rounded down to 5-star. On the other hand: Who does not like me using the system on the balcony, where the water in the summer then drips onto the terrace, but a transfer to or plans in the earth, can live safely well with the leakage water and receives a 4 star product.
Summary:
The here I like:
- Extensive range of accessories
- Easy to install
- Quality adapter parts
- Many possibilities
I do not like that:
- Pipes are made of plain material. Drop connections to the larger T-adapters.
- Dropping rate of each group with each other (for example, every 2l / h dripper) scatters significantly
- Dripper (0-20l / h) are partially non-tight and can not be reduced to zero
Conclusion: Due to the tube problem today I would possibly buy the parts separately or replace the pipe equal through a tube. But then a lot of tweaking to the large T-adapters is necessary for you get a tight system. Too bad that just Gardena here delivers not a 5 star product, may be worth looking at a competitor's product. I would probably buy the product again, because I could resolve relatively quickly the Getropfe with "home remedies". In daily use, I have a lot of fun with the irrigation and spare me the unhandige fiddling with the watering can.
Addendum:
The uneven droplets can pierce the drip holes with a small drill to improve. But seriously: I've got to re-drill individually or the drip holes? Not really ....
