War "Amore XL" one - despite occurring, biting satire-tips - more "conciliatory" disc (already alone from the title and the prevailing Musiktstil ago), full throttle and Pipes give our favorite Austrians now back again on woman Luder-subtlety. So one feels again, as in the 90s, and comparison with albums like "The sky's the hell is going on" are very close.
Yet one senses here again that in certain respects a more mature approach is now preferred. This is also reflected in the fact that now rock and metal elements are the most common things, but of course also a few quiet numbers (one of which is clearly settled in Swing), and an electric-boom-boom-song, not may be missing.
The small Gag Einspieler also move on woman Luder-level, and may (but unfortunately not all) mostly cause at least a smile on the listener.
Playing tips are for me:
- Obama (begins as a new anti-Bush song on, but is soon to ironic Obama adulation)
- Nostradamus (the now obligatory anti-Church-Song)
- Eloise & The crisis (the theme had to happen - anything else would have been a disappointment ... and the text like)
Where also the following songs are not to be despised:
- Stupidity to power (how true, how true - incl. A clear message to the hounding of smoking)
- New Hero Shall Lead Them (deserved criticism of the TV program)
- (Brought very sarcastic and to the point) tolerance
And with "Please beer" is even the next Mallorca firecrackers on board because this chorus can each sing along with 3 per mill yet. Not so much mine very funny (the style), but still.
All in all, in the songs anyway no total failures to call, and the many guitar riffs tell me personally just very to, so I can only express my absolute buy recommendation for this new EAV album. Above all, who calls himself a "fan", comes this black-humored disc certainly not over! :)
