The rich historical content gives this novel a surprising scent of authenticity that will delight adventure lovers as history lovers. One can only admire the excellent work of research and documentation that the author made prior to writing this novel. Like some, I am tempted to make a comparison with the "Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follet: there are the same narrative quality, the same generosity in the verb and similar ingredients that make these gems adventure novels the deserved success. A great time reading! a pure delight!
