Severe disruption of radio reception!

I turn on the lamp, is not immediately receive digital radio (DAB +) in the same room and in neighboring rooms (!) Longer possible. Ordinary FM radio (FM) and digital television (DVB-T), however, are not affected.

If only the AC adapter is plugged in and the lamp is in standby (red LED lights), nothing happens. The lamp you have to activate before, to initiate massive disturbances.

Apparently DAB + is still not too common, because otherwise such reports would here certainly piling. The LEC250 carries moreover a CE mark; but I want to see who has signed the relevant Declaration of Conformity?

Anyway, it's forbidden to take such a device in operation in Germany. If you are caught by BNetzA when disturb radio reception, you pay the cost of suppression itself. The device will be confiscated and destroyed course fee. Total costs in the amount of lamp 5000 may arise for the operator.

I'm not a lawyer, so here can make any final assessment of the case. Technically the LEC250 is not interference suppressed anyway. And I'm talking about a few meters away. For my part, I have therefore decided to immediately pack up lamp in any case and returned. The seller "Digital Daffodil" I have informed in writing via email.

I yesterday bought the LED lamp LEC250W (White Edition) on Amazon UK. From my point of view it's not allowed to sell this device in Germany.

When I turn on the lamp every digital radio in the same room and in the Adjacent rooms stops working - no reception! The LEC250 is blocking all digital radio signal in the area.

Standard FM radio is silent working, so digital TV (DVB-T) is not affected by the lamp. But any DAB + digital radio is gone. When I turn off the lamp, everything is back to normal.

It's strictly forbidden to possess items like the LEC250 in Germany. You could earn I high fine of app. 5000 if you are caught interfering with radio reception in Germany.
