The NX11 will appear on the first glance like a small SLR, but it is of course no.
On housing, there are only minor modifications, it is actually the same as the NX5.
On lens reveals that the switch for image stabilization is missing, this can now be only in the menu set.
This is available on the site a "i-Fn" button.
When activated i-Function menu therefore let my focus ring quickly and easily set different scenes without the menu.
In "PASM" mode button z. As white balance, exposure, ISO, aperture, time can be customized with the "i-Fn" then adjust so quickly to the focus ring, also without the menu need to.
Otherwise, the menu structure is almost identical to the NX5.
The most noticeable improvement:
The NX5 has a 3-inch display with 230,000 pixels.
Here Samsung has now reworked considerably.
The NX11 has now the same size 614,000 pixels - that can easily, without doubt, a positive impact.
In direct comparison, the NX11 has a much better display sharpness of detail (when zooming into the picture).
Also the electronic viewfinder has been increased from 201,000 pixels to 921,000 pixels.
Also one notices immediately in direct comparison - the viewfinder is also much more detailed and larger.
Otherwise there is not much difference to NX5.
The picture quality is the same, I did a lot of comparison shots and could not tell the difference.
If you would show me the images without Inidiz, I could not say which of the NX5 and which are of the NX11.
It really is kind of clear, with same technical data.
But that's not a disadvantage, because, as mentioned, the NX5 has already excellent image quality.
Key features are the excellent detail and the excellent noise performance.
Conclusion:
With the NX11, Samsung has reworked well, not verschlimmbessert.
The result is a system camera with excellent image quality and quite easy to use.
The (CD) supplied, detailed operating instructions should not pose any problems even for beginners, here everything is really well explained.
With the new, high-resolution display and electronic viewfinder is also worth the extra cost to NX5.
Also recommended is the Samsung T50200SB telephoto lens as a supplement, this also provides excellent optical quality at moderate price.
Addendum:
Meanwhile, I have made some direct comparison photos with my Nikon D3100.
This shows that the NX11 almost always has a better sharpness of detail than the D3100.
So I did not expect ...
