I found this book a few years ago and I was immediately captivated and deeply moved by this story, and yet I thought I already read a lot about the topic of the Holocaust! The testimony of Perechodnik is unique because he himself accompanied his family to the death train as a member of the Jewish ghetto police, he survived the ghetto and cleaning demonstrates emotionally and lucidity of his daily life since the invasion of the Nazis in Poland, and consciousness which claims to have accompanied his family to the train deportation without taking ... You can let go this testimony once we started reading. Unmissable.
