I have a great option to the B2710 now for a week, and it exceeded my expectations. Water, dust and shock resistance, I have not further investigated, fortunately, but the seals act as if they can keep the promised. The battery life is decent, although I have played a lot with Bluetooth and GPS, has the battery out of the box already endured 4 days ago, and since he was not yet empty. Now, with a single charge, two days increased GPS and Bluetooth use, and the display still shows full. Voice quality is decent, I had neither problems nor the interlocutors. In noisy environments the voreingestelllte volume is a bit thin, but also adjust the volume control on the side while talking. I want to eventually make a statement about my musical tastes with the ringtone, and if they did, there should just be more genres represented. So I have to stop tinkering and a draufspielen. The pre-installed can not be deleted and occupy at least around 8Mb memory. The memory is anyway a bit tight with 36Mb as the microSDHC card's almost obligatory. Moreover, to my knowledge, the path is not documented to the internal memory, so that TrekBuddy currently takes place in the absence of a storage path neither maps nor writes a log. Well, that annoys me, but whether it is the fault of the phone, or TrekBuddy, or if the error occurred before the keyboard sits ...
If you select a theme 'Living World', has all the same background image, also in the menu. With own background images that does not work, unfortunately.

Who, as I look for a GPS receiver, which allows you to make calls and send texts, is right at the B2710 definitely. Who is more likely to arrive on business functionality, should maybe look somewhere else. Since I do not need the features like calendars, organizers, etc., I have been tested, nor I can compare them to other phones.

EDIT 24/06/2012 Have the phone now already 18 months in use, and slowly sees to it that it is no longer new. A small scratch is on the display. The robustness I can confirm the phone I take daily to work, while it gets probably know water and body fluids of my large animal patients from without consequences. In mountain biking, it has also proven and is often in the mud and fallen on harder times floor, no problems. Only the display bothers revved something, it is difficult to read in bright daylight, especially the map of TrekBuddy.
Bluetooth pairing with all my getting on in handsets has always worked on the first try. The remuco software runs on your phone so that I thus can remotely control music via Bluetooth to my PC (Linux), then the battery will last but not too long (which is due to Bluetooth and remuco which knows no Eco mode).
So even after 18 months, I'd buy it myself again.

It is still alive! And now I know, it's waterproof. One can take in the lake with it for swimming. The washing machine also has survived it in the course of last year. Both, of course, turned on, in the washing machine, it even had reception. However, the glass has now been a few more scratches and the battery lasts no longer felt quite so long.
