Just fantastically beautiful

Granted, I only knew about half of the information gathered on this CD carols. But the choice is absolutely first class. The mix between singing (solo and chorus) and purely instrumental songs enriched the selection. The interpretations are despite (or because?) Of old age throughout skillfully (half of the songs were recorded in the late fifties), and do not dust on me.

Have particularly impressed me the songs of the boys' choir of Hannover. Although I was not sure until now lovers of boys singing, I must say that her singing on this CD comes across professional and very solemn. The boys are accompanied by old, not often heard today instruments, and which gives the songs a nostalgic note.

Also particularly festive, the brilliant pieces played is the Berlin (plate) act blowers.

I was initially surprised at how rich are the German Christmas carols, which sense heat they contain - a real asset to any Christmas. For me, the CD has only one fault: they should be much longer ...
