The instrument is recognized in pavucontrol default under both output devices as well as with input devices CM108 Audio Controller Analog Stereo Audio Controller respectively CM108 Analog Mono (is just a normal mono microphone jack), and can be directly used and configured.
The regulator for the input I pushed at 100% (0 dB). The recording of the audio signal in Audacity works via USB PnP Sound Device from the recording devices drop-down menu, which does not matter which of the specified device (front, rear, Line, 0, 1, etc.) are used. The result is a very slight noise, at least here in testing with a Sennheiser PC 360 headset, which is however problem filter out with Audacity.
For use must PulseAudio either accordingly configured (Configuration tab) that internal audio is disabled, and for CM108 Audio Controller profile analog stereo output + Analog mono input is used (as is the external sound card used more for everything), or is changed during playback (same name tab) in the application of Internal on CM108 (as the external sound card is used only when necessary).
The screenshots on this review show my setup in pavucontrol and Audacity. So I have the sound output through the internal sound card, and the sound input runs via the external sound card of CSL.
Edit: Actually, I had been hanging over the appropriate options three screenshots to this review. Now I have to admit I do not make so many reviews, and certainly not with a picture, so I know now not whether the images still come, or whatever happens to it, I did anyway again loaded additionally in an Imgur album : [...]
Edit 2: Amazon has apparently not only what to screenshots, but also against links to screenshots, accordingly I have to stay unfortunately owe the mentioned screenshots for configuration, but would like to reiterate that a configuration is possible.
