The introduction to electronic music

For me, The Young Punx had the best start in electronic music. I've previously only Rock, Pop, Indie, Metal, Rap, Hip-Hop and highest ever heard The Prodigy, I found house, techno, drum'n'bass otherwise always relatively boring and monotonous. This has changed with the first album "Your Music Is Killing Me" and the super-single "MashItUp" but abruptly.

The basis of the sound of The Young Punx is house music. Unlike many others, they create it but to let their music eerie sound organic. As a Rave with real instruments. Constantly something happening, new elements are added, changing and also if you look at their song sounds for the umpteenth time, you will discover an element each time that you have not heard before.

Also interesting is the composition of the band. Apart from the mastermind Hal Ritson (including Dizzee Rascal, David Guetta, Eric Prydz, Sugababes, ...) and his DJ partner Nathan Taylor there is no fixed occupation. Depending on which styles are just mixed together, the boys invite diverse artists. Speed ​​metal guitarist, opera singers, American rapper, singer Punk, wind ensemble, etc ... Everything is taken, then rotated through a meat grinder and mixed with fat house beats.

On the new album "Mashpop & Punk Step" they have again upped the ante a playful and jump easily between the individual styles. Especially good to hear in "You You You" and "Simple Pleasures." A wild mix of house, punk, salsa, rock, drum'n'bass ... The transitions are partially so fluently, as if it were the most natural thing in the world and these genres would always belong together.
