Packaging is by "frustration free packaging Amazon" a cardboard envelope that is easy to open. Very good.
The stick is like so many others from home not bootable, but it can be bootable in Windows7 in a few steps.
And so it is done:
1. Open Command Prompt (cmd.exe). Is also often erroneously still called DOS window.
2. Enter the following commands:
diskpart
list disk
(See has which number the stick, you can easily recognize the size)
select disk [disk number]
list disk
(Check that the correct entry is now selected, this now has a star; if not select again, not that you do in case of wrong selection, the hard drive erases !!! So beware !!!)
Clean
create partition primary
Active
exit
exit
3. Search in File Explorer or the Computer Management (point Disk Management) to the new disk and call up by right-clicking "Format ...". Here now select accordingly the desired type of formatting (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, etc.) and can be formatted.
Done.
Now a bootable system draufkopiert the stick can now be used for booting. As an example, the content (all files and directories) of Win7Installationsmediums and you have the installation CD / DVD bootable on the stick.
Note: The PC and its BIOS must of course generally support booting from USB media, otherwise it does not.
