I had made the decision to buy an AV receiver is not easy. Since I have been a die-stereo listener, it seemed to me very well to a balanced music playback. I then tested the VSX-924 with the Denon AVR-X1100W and the Yamaha RX-577 (hearing and operation test in the store with its own CD as a reference). First, the equipment and operation: The Yamaha missing as Bluetooth and the menu looks very old-fashioned. The operation, however, is quite good. When Denon's Bluetooth on board and the operation works well here too. However, the best connectivity options offered by the Pioneer. The screen menus are indeed no optical Kracher but me is there clarity important. The operating concept is logical and after a short is the AVR absolutely easy to handle. All thing it is advisable sometimes to take in so many settings, at least initially, the manual again, to get the most out of sound and image. This brings us even at the sound qualities of Kotrahenten: The Yamaha falls here but back relatively clearly. The shadows appear narrow-chested and the mids and highs are very cautious. When surround sound he can not really convince as well. The Denon is in stereo mode the Pioneer almost equal. He convinced with a good bass and clear treble. Only the middle were something "rough" to. The Pioneer is reflected at the sound test best of all. In stereo mode, it affords no weaknesses: Terrific bass and very finely resolved mid and high frequencies. The absolute Hammer is the surround sound. In action scenes an almost sheet flies away :-) and voices are very understandable and sound natural. Overall, the Pio has clearly won the race at the end for me so. I now own him for 4 months and have been buying so far not regretted. The sound is fantastic. Even from my older CDs he brings out tones, which I previously did not even know that they are there :-). The device and the calibration was absolutely no problem. The wireless functions work absolutely flawlessly and stable. So far I had not as a problem. All in all, this device is highly recommended for the price and there is hardly any AVR that can hold a candle to the Pio.
