Flotter wireless router

For the media enjoyment in the living room I once even gave me the forthcoming Christmas and what gained me a new setup. My previous ASUS devices have never let me down big, which is why I have brought me no doubt as to their suitability for two additional units of the company in the apartment this router and ASUS VIVO VM60-G101M. Thanks to the support of 802.11 ac standard the two devices harmonize together beautifully. More on this later.

The router moves priced from direct competition from AVM, but offers similar equipment WLAN a / b / g / n / ac, Gigabit LAN, USB 3.0, dual-band and thus satisfies the basic needs, which I put to a router. With my 50k VDSL line, the device comes perfectly clear and distributes them well on all connected devices.
The router looks very futuristic and stylish and makes alongside the other network devices, such as NAS, etc., really something forth. The Administration menu is multilingual, clearly structured, offers ample configuration options and responding timely. These points, however, are rather unimportant for me. Important for me is because of the mentioned media streaming primarily the network, especially the wireless speed to multiple devices.

For this purpose as promised now more:
My Media I stream from my NAS via SMB, which is connected via Gigabit directly to the router. My new recovering from VIVO PC hangs over WLAN 5GHz network a space further (in between a door and a concrete wall). My desktop computer is in the same room (Gigabit LAN). I tested the structure with XBMC on the VIVO and Windows 7 on the desktop machine. The data rates are really great.
On computers come with 905Mbit / s at nearly the theoretical values ​​of Gigabit Lan.
About WLAN ac playback of Full-HD content should represent on the XBMC VIVO no problem and it does not do well. BluRays fly within seconds through the air and play without the least twitch on the VIVO from! The movie experience is therefore nothing in the way!

Since my Tablet unfortunately only supports the 2.4GHz frequency band, I was able to test the data rate also here. The synchronization of my pictures with my NAS went ruckzuck vonstatten. Again, I have nothing to complain about.
The range of the router are top for my needs! In my apartment I have both 5GHz and 2.4GHz anywhere good reception. Also down on the sidewalk in front of my apartment. The 2.4 GHz band extends even to the next intersection!
My old D-Link has cut clearly inferior in range-discipline.

All in all I am wonderfully pleased with the ASUS RT-AC87U. He met all my criteria, that make a good router in my eyes & bar its services reliably. Clear recommendation on my part!
