Customer Review

The main character of the novel is Beautrelet Isidore, a boy of 17 years, student of rhetoric that will lead candle to Arsène Lupin. There are almost two stories in one. The first being the burglary of the castle of Count Gesvres leading to the almost fatal wound Lupin. The second story then develops gradually, leading to the discovery of the secret hollow needle, which according to Maurice Leblanc secret dating of Julius Caesar and the liking of invasions, conquests and subsequent looting s is passed from king to king until Louis XVI.
This secret is what drives Arsene Lupin to come often in Normandy where he seems to have drawn some of its neighborhoods. For those who know Etretat, it is an open secret, but it is interesting to see Lupin try to thwart the progress of the investigation of the young Beautrelet himself on the secret of the track of the needle hollow. For all the suspense is: Beautrelet he will discover the secret of the hollow needle and he will help the inspector Ganimard to arrest Lupin?
For its part, Sherlock Holmes, once again humiliated by Lupin never ceases to hope for revenge. This time it is not the challenge to beat the anime Lupin is hate! This hatred will make this novel one of the most tragic series of Lupin.
Leblanc Dumas in this book. He dares to reinvent the history of France, plays with the events and places for the enjoyment of the reader who reads a great novel more than a mystery novel of adventures.
