For me, after 19 years of a 4 valves was "cold" leak in the position. It is really just a 3-part seal set for remedying necessary that you get but not individually. Since the cartridge but the seal kit contains and the 19-year-old tap on the lever mixer already had tidy game, the cartridge was no alternative here ...
Installation is simple and well thought out, it affects only the top fitting.
It must be resolved by the sink / shower / tub no pipe or hose connections or any thing.
Park -water
Loosen mixer lever (small cog under weather cap) -
Unscrew the cartridge cap -
- 2 long screws on the now exposed old cartridge solve
- Old and new signature out in reverse order.
After about 10 minutes the valve is like new, at least inside.
You hereby get a kind of "retreading" for his, perhaps almost historic,
"Grohe" - fitting (was then called Friedrich Grohe)!
I would give it 4 stars, 5 for it is a little too expensive, because actually three O-rings would have been enough (seal kit) for a few euros, but they are even with Grohe no longer available separately, but only incl. Cartridge.
But still good that there still are those spare parts for 19 years. That's one of the benefits of expensive brand faucets and bathroom now retains his usual fitting design. In addition, you can save a lot with this cartridge to otherwise necessary Neuanschaffungs- and labor costs.
