The head itself is apparently almost entirely of metal and makes a heavy and rock solid impression.
The thread has an adapter, so that the head on all standard tripods can be screwed. Who wants so it could screw on a large tripod with a large screw. But this he would be a little too small, but it works.
Taking all screws, the head holds more than suggests the size. The notch allows tilting about 90 degrees and makes it in my case, the ideal partner for my field recorder.
The screw for the rotation, I would have rather wished than thumbscrew, as the other. One can this not so tighten as the other. However, inasmuch as the camera / recorder but keeps its place is to get over.
Only the ring plate for turning is made of plastic and my only real gripe. I thought when you unpack that this is a screw, so that could be the camera screw "contrary" to fix this. When trying to rotate it, but the bullet had tightened, so I replaced the plastic part of the head. While this does not detract from the use of, but it was annoying that just this part of the site of the weakness of the head.
Conclusion: It does what it should and is sufficiently stable. Because of the plastic screw a star deduction.
