The tonal match has a "lie" (because the tastes are quite different, but it affects many pickups). I feel as something "Loudness" -like, but that still successful than many overly bright or dull Ortofon system herumdümpelnde Shure scanner (Shure I had admittedly only "classical" systems in the fingers, but the newer one hears not much good).
As I said, a matter of taste. I had several copies of the AT 95 E and related models of both AT and Linn, and was thus in Durchschitt always satisfied.
Many like the AT 95 E not, and think it is too shrill. I can understand how to get to this evaluation, but it is good for me, as long as the music is right material (mainly rock / pop). When women's voices it comes quickly to its limits, however. To judge whether all the timbres of a classical orchestra and the exact postition of the musicians are met exactly, is not really my thing. Presumably the other scanner can do better. The cost then but probably many times (what happened quickly at the ridiculous price for the AT 95 E ...)
I use for this system 2g tracking force that corresponds exactly to the manufacturer's recommendations and is in the middle of the specified manufacturer of tracking force range (1,5-2,5g). Among them, it sounded to me then but too loud and distorted, for example, women's voices slightly.
Note (1): How in relevant Internet forums as "hears", there are in this system and in particular in recent times related production variations, and I had already not so successful copies. A critical look at the resulting copy is advised (Note: There are test plates).
Note (2): For these pickups, there are, for whatever reason, (at least) three different entries from Amazon with different suppliers, prices and customer reviews! Why this review is now precaution to see all three. Amazon, please entries consolidate!
