In December, I finally bought myself times a Blu-Ray player. The handy little player was easy to connect to my Sony TV and running immediately. The image is both DVD and Blue-Ray brilliant, the sound cinema ripe. The image of DVDs is so highly optimized with the software that seriously, one wonders why one should buy Blu-Ray discs. But: The device does not have an off switch, so it runs always in standby. This is no longer appropriate. And unlike my older Sony DVD player running noise are clearly audible. After some time, this is still Geäusch accompanied with a high frequency sound which unpleasantly noticeable particularly in quiet and silent movie scenes, even disturbing. High-tech in low coat. Too bad. The old DVD player line was better.
