REM finished their existence in 2011 with "Collapse Into Now", an album of the many claim that again many - certainly not all - summarize facets of this great band. Something like that can also be the new album by the "Decemberists" describe. A bit of "picaresque", a little "Hazards of Love", here and there a brand recognition of "The Crane Wife" and many songs have the catchiness, which revealed some songs from "The King is Dead". There is, however, fortunately (!), Not the danger that this should be the farewell of "Decemberists".
In short:
The album has songs vorpreschende (Cavalry Captain), ballads (Lake Song), epic songs (Beginning Song), and a radio-friendly single (Make You Better). And the songs that I have now not listed, are all typical "Decemberists" songs of which is not really weak. I find no filler.
Let's just say: Here you can access! An impressive conglomeration of "Decemberists", which prove once again: A bad album is this time not sully discography.
