Previously I have already photographed with the Sigma DP2, she was always there and has in its compact body
a chip comparable to the size of DX-format DSLRs. Sigma was pioneered with this concept, many other companies attracted (less consistent with regard to the picture quality) to.
What was true for the DP2s, also applies to the DP2 Merrill: I have since ongoing shift from analog to digital photography for the first time a fully satisfying feeling on video quality.. The leap from the DP2 Merrill DP2s is very large. The monitor is larger and high resolution, meeting exactly the autofocus quick and fantastic. During manual focus on the lens ring comes joy. The camera has a total of rate gained so that you can take snapshots quite if you delve into them.

Almost all positive and negative comments I can agree with my Vorrezensenten somehow: the image quality is superior sharp, it's a bit lame, the colors are usually very accurate, iso 640, well ... etc.
But that's not it. Sigma dares the only company to invest in a sensor which can be experienced differently Photography us, partly in an incomparable quality in pocket format! So go photographer dreams come true. What is also amazing is the fact that despite the absence of stabilizer, the shots at 1/40 s often already knackscharf.

I have the camera now for over a year. The price has since fallen by almost 50%. The Sigma Dp2m has proven itself as a process camera well.
I'm still excited. The ability to select image sections that are of high quality, is unnecessary in many cases, a telephoto lens.
It's nice to be able to make small luggage discreetly go so good photos. If it has to happen very quickly
or then the DSLR has ran in the dark room.
