Picture:
The Philips delivers clearly one of the best pictures I've ever seen: The colors are extremely strong, the Black and the viewing angles are good for light and dark content very good black inverted only when different from the optimum viewing angle. This is achieved via a Bluray naturalness that almost makes me feel that I only look through a window at the scene and do not look at a picture. Really impressive! At the settings you have not change much. Adjust according to taste and source color, contrast and sharpness and enthusiastic image.
The motion sharpness is in Bluray and DVD very well even in the fastest tracking shots or eg the battle scenes of the Bourne films where one can read even the pain from the face of the actor. Whether Clear LCD is turned while making subjectively but no difference, however, it results in Natural Motion to activate stronger bucking and light flicker.
Natural Motion removes judder on the lowest level and any precipitated by pleasantly small artefacts on here has the update brought a significant improvement to the previous version. Especially in fast movements and by the image people running it beats very well, though it sometimes slips up with only slightly moving regular patterns (eg high-rise building fronts in the Helishots of The Dark Knight). But that's really rare and worth the perfect movements all.
The only downside is the image light irradiating the backlight at the top. But this drops to only dark images with fully turned backlight in dark room.
3D works very well. Crosstalk I could not make out the movements are as smooth and sharp as in 2D. The conversion deserves praise: Unlike, for example, LG is not based on colors, so that there is very rarely wrong calculations. Working mainly in the films a lot with blur the effect is good, but also any other material is given depth. Unfortunately, there is no pop-outs but that can so far no manufacturer, because these are very difficult to calculate correctly and then make the experience more broken than to enrich it.
Sound:
Thanks to the subwoofer in the housing of the sound falls out bulky male voices sound pretty strong and sharp sounds are reproduced only slightly hissing, but this can be almost completely eliminated by a reduction in the high frequencies. In a pinch, the built-in speakers ranging sometimes for a movie night, but the subwoofer is overwhelmed at higher volumes and only grumbles. But for the daily television it is entirely sufficient and exceeds many competitors.
Ambilight:
I have considered a nice touch this feature and am still of the opinion that you do not really need those who have to choose between a larger screen size or Ambilight should prefer a few more inches in any case. The effect strongly depends on the material: In action sequences with lots of explosions, it does make her what if the whole room is bathed in orange and even in underwater shots, it shimmers beautifully blue like being underwater. In dialogue scenes, it can also be a pain. For example, when switching between the protagonists back and forth, we and a colorful, the other has a black background then the Ambilight flashes in quick verbal exchanges and cuts on again and draws more from. You should be at least 30cm, better (also no boxes next to the TV and, of course, depending on the distance to the wall) 50cm free hold on both sides, so the Ambilight can spread undisturbed.
Gaming:
Whether shooter BeatemUp or racing game, I had no problems as long as you turn on the game mode is no input lag to feel, so I saved a measurement. However, the color and contrast enhancement and Ambilight must be disabled.
Software and service:
The software may have been the biggest problem in 6007 and the older reviews, which report many bugs etc. I have also been only deterred. Therefore, I have out of the box once the latest version partly filled (000.150.085.000 from 06.03.2013).
Philips seems to have finally made it (almost) to fix any errors: The TV is not crashed, has not even switched on or off and also the performance is fully in order. However, navigation is not as fast as the competition, since the menus are replete with many animations and there is an upstream level before the actual settings. Although the animations look chic, but do not run very smoothly, so that the operation is unnecessarily slow and even slower occurs than it is. But I think that everything moves even in the context here would be less, however, have been more.
The remote fits comfortably in your hand and has all the essentials for a quick button, so you often do not have to change to the menu (such as Ambilight, 3D, source). However disturb me the hard pressure point and the loud click with every entry.
WiFi works perfectly and has not lost touch since the simple installation. Smart TV is the same as with all other manufacturers hakelig, ARD / ZDF media libraries but I have already extensively tested when streaming there is no problem.
Is a bit annoying that the settings for the Ambilight will not be stored for each device, so you have to when you switch between TV and Xbox manual on / off. Thanks to the quick button on the remote control but only a matter of two clicks. And also a bug I have not found: In standby the Philips sometimes forgets that the game mode is turned on then you have to make it in the menu once and then on again. But is not so bad, and does not happen on a regular basis.
Overall, the software is now mature, even though the menus through the email but unnecessary animations are thwarted. Stable and he runs all the additional functions make what they are. So here is the new software is no reason to devaluation.

Above all, the Dynamic backlight do not like each but performs the control of the backlight to a super black even in dark scenes. Standard does not rotate so heavily on the lighting and therefore is less visible. The light sensor prevents you from being dazzled at night and governs for my taste always the correct brightness.
