The sound card provides a good and clear sound. Thanks to the included software various settings (equalizer, virtual surround sound, Crystalizer, Scout Mode, etc.) can be made. I use the soundcard mainly for playing Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4 and Counter Strike: Global Offensive. The difference with the onboard sound is clear: So you can hear for example steps of opponents very clear and can assign them geographically. In general all sounds much more detailed. When I first played times with a sound card, took me almost overwhelmed, so many new sounds that you could not hear before. After a few hours you have then used to it and do not want to play without the sound card. Toll I find small remote control that you can control, for example Spotify: Browse the songs with arrow keys, play / pause, volume control, etc. From the design of the Sound Blaster Omni Surround is well done. Why I forgive only 4 stars? The volume control on the sound card caused when activated (regardless of whether you make louder or softer) a brief crackling. Perhaps this is an isolated incident with me, or would obstruct Creative better regulator. I think that's a pity, because the sound card is otherwise quite well. However, it does not bother me too much because you do not constantly loud / quiet. I do not regret the purchase and recommend the card even further. Especially for micht the external sound solution has been worthwhile because I can connect to the PC sound card as needed my laptop or my gaming.
