I have small hands and the P500 fits comfortably in my hand. Also I do with the discarded thumb no buttons (what happened with another camera entirely) to accidentally making a wrong adjustment.
The display is really great and the viewfinder can be used as Fotolaie well. The foldable display contributes to a less cramped neck muscle.
The individual settings can be understood quite quickly as a novice and by taste by all. Still, I can put any fond, to times the user (which is present only on CD and more than 200 pages long) read.
In automatic mode, the images for the average consumer succeed all right, but you can get out if you shoot with the different modes (P, S, A, M) more.
If you look At length a new camera after 5-6 years, it is already excited about the progress.
The P500 is quite suitable for snapshots. In good lighting conditions. As it gets darker, she had to ask 'in my hands anyway' here and there their problems quickly sharp. In situations where I used to not even thought about my camera to pull out because I would have taken only dark mess, I'm going to handle this can get into the habit now. The photos in dark environments (ie the ones I've done so far) are not sharp (for 100% gazers certainly not), but it makes shots that you can use anyway, instead of achieving any of these moments to have (I think, for nice evenings and DVD Fotoshow- souvenir photos for the album, it is perfectly acceptable).
On the subject of speed, I can mention my husband's a saying. He is more than I Ottonormalo, the camera took at hand (in automatic mode), turned and asked: 'What? Already finished? ' He also went into a room with no windows, let the light and came back all excited: 'Look, as you can see in the dark without a flash even what. And not too bad! ' (I have not here now saying that the picture was blurred, as if he had hopped in triggering 'but it was a picture as to which one could recognize what was photographed! The pictures in the sunshine are great of course. As it gets darker, they are also great for me. However, I can understand some people here, when they say that the images are noisy or mushy or geweichzeichnet. Seen in 100% the true quite. I can compare the camera with any other of its competitors. Therefore, I as a layman can only say that 100% gazers will not be satisfied. I'm not 100% gazers and am therefore satisfied.
The close-ups make me happy, meanwhile, also. I had, however, already try something back and forth to find the appropriate setting (but automatic is quite). The problem is, meanwhile, still behind the camera, which I do not want to blame therefore the P500. Nevertheless, one can already see, for example on a photo of an eye lashes and even the pollen on petals.
My animals are incidentally not recognized in 'Animal Portrait'. The cats Yes, our dog no. The dog, however, my sister already. Better results I have achieved with the animals, however, when I took the Sport Automatic.
What is sometimes noticed 'even as a layman' that the camera when shooting against the light but little overexposed. However, I believe that there also is a setting so that this no longer happens. The camera can be so much that you can not find anything in such a short time (and certainly not as a layman). And if you have a camera of 'primitive', which does not have such settings, you have to first time incorporated properly.
At full zoom I find it enormously what the image stabilizer makes. I have a pretty hand-shake and the camera has therefore much to be done. The results at full zoom are okay for me. For 100% gazers terrible!
Full Wide leaves several lines on the screen appear already wrong. But that was before I realized as I've seen sample images and take it out. I no longer have to cross with my old camera now but so far away from the subject. And also my motive I no longer have to send over the slope edge to capture it. At the Grand Canyon that can sometimes be very dangerous to say: 'One step back, please!' As distortions are to me quite.
The Easy Panorama feature I think is great. The Panorama wizard, although I have tried with the camera, but I have not looked, how to put the images on the PC. But should be feasible for me as a beginner.
A filter effect, I have to try it out. I find a nice gimmick; but need not be. A black and white photo, where only the tongue and the game ball from Dog are red, is rather nice.
Yes, love battery. I had some problems there. For three days, I was on the verge of delivering the camera. One day I managed 9 shots, then 32 and then at least 78 photos before the camera did not let on. Now I have repeatedly charged the battery (using the enclosed mains charger and / or MH-61 charger, which I ordered it) and it works. Even a few settings (display darker, Off to 1 min and no display after shooting) have determined helped. The image number has now normalized and if I now simply 'only knipse', I come to more than 220 recordings, can also view and delete images. I hope it stays that way. Other cameras keep longer by 'I read' but if you spare batteries (which I have also to buy), it is also okay.
Filmed I have only a couple of times. Rather only in order to check whether they actually filmed (I wanted to take pictures, I have a video camera, which is responsible for the films). Unfortunately, my PC does not stop by at FullHD and displays the movies just jerky. The camera shows it but without jerking. This slow motion and fast motion I find funny and a nice gadget that can use so many a safe. When zooming I have a faint noise in the sound, which I personally do not feel a nuisance. I must say that the short film was shot in a very quiet garden. Maybe you do not hear the noise in a louder environment ?!
The many scene modes offer something for every situation and they understand quite quickly, if you do not know something before. I feel all this as a good all round package, which is something for everyone. Both for the automatic traveler, as well as for the manual.
In summary, I can say that I am very satisfied with the camera now. All this is of course my completely subjective Joe Public-opinion, which is not universally applicable in his body, and certainly not for serious photographers and 100% gazers. Also, I would not go and compare the pictures with images of a DSLR. I think since then comparing fruit with vegetables. My needs it fulfills. And more, they must indeed for me not fulfill. Incidentally, I have also set photos.
