After my old Logitech G15 for more than four years slowly up her mind, needed a new keyboard. You should now be wirelessly, have a pleasant pressure point possible, and of course the usual support additional functions, such as controlling the media player. Ideally, they should also have more programmable keys because I was used to from my G15 this.
Search for a long time I found the Logitech K350.
Delivery
The keyboard comes in a conventional carton for Logitech. It is, of course, well packaged, containing the keyboard, the software and a Quick Start Guide, the little receiver and a USB extension. Thus, the delivery is more than complete.
Processing and optics
The processing of the keyboard is really exemplary. There can be found no sharp edges, does not rattle a button and everything feels really high. The integrated palm rest is padded soft and light.
This positive impression continues also in optics. The K350 works through its waveform and contrasting colors appealing, yet very simple and elegant.
Unfortunately the area around the media keys in a piano lacquer look is discontinued. I always wonder, what is something like this. These surfaces are so sensitive that they scratch already formally at watch. So it is with the K350. I once the dust really gets fast on these surfaces noticeable, wiped and you are the first fine scratches on the keyboard. And after just one day. Unfortunately, these fine scratches fall to extreme. Great Thing! When does this "piano finish craze" at last?
Writing on the Logitech K350
Now the most important thing - the writing feeling. After I knew super writing feel of my Logitech G15 a, as I thought, until recently, I was a bit skeptical. But after the first few written sentences I was absolutely delighted with the K350! The pressure point is very precise, the waveform allows a very pleasant letter - even if you do not write with the 10-finger technique! Then there is the soft palm rest and quiet keystroke, whereby the comfort is really almost perfect. The K350 is in this case, compared with the actually already good G15 to lengths better!
Additional functions
The keyboard has the usual first additional functions, such as the operation of the Media Player. In addition, the F-keys have a secondary function. In can be, for example, the IE, open the email client, etc. Text program. Much of the modifier keys and function keys can be assigned freely. The setting (and commissioning) of the keyboard is via the included software really easy. While the software is running in the background, however, barely eats resources (as opposed to the software of the G15!).
The wireless connection also works flawlessly. The keyboard is automatically recognized by Windows. Outs I can not tell and the batteries should, according to Logitech, hold more than a year. The range is sufficient to move freely in a normal-sized room. The receiver is actually very small, so you could leave it for example on a notebook without problems stuck. Moreover, it is the beneficiary is the Logitech Unifying receiver, which you can connect not only the keyboard but also with a Unifying mouse. The particularly like me, so you do not unnecessarily occupied many USB ports.
Conclusion
Positives:
I'm really excited basically. The writing feeling is really indescribable good. The waveform and the great palm rest I would now no longer miss.
The additional keys are working properly and how to program it runs smoothly. Along with the great processing makes this keyboard really fun.
Negatives:
One complaint I have: the already mentioned, partly used, piano finish is so sensitive that they scratched after a short time, no matter how careful you are. I personally find very annoying, since the keyboard is finally not the cheapest. Therefore, I prefer it from a star. Pity!
