The measured temperature ranged from 35.8 to 38 ° (only once), with a large majority between 36.9 and 37.2. What is that all is well. I checked the rectal temperature (with another thermometer, inevitably ;-), and there surprise: 38 # 1.
Other tests on my 4 year and a half, same result: the LX-26 says everything is ok when she had a fever.
By cons to know the ambient temperature, there is a method to select for this and it seems to work correctly. Awesome ...
In short I do not know if the problem is with the device or the very principle of wanting to estimate the internal temperature from infrared emissions distance but this model gives too outliers of reality to serve anything .
In addition it emits a beep quite loud that you can not turn off, nice for measurements at night when the kids are asleep.
