- The writing and feeling is really excellent with the built Browns. Much better than my previous G15 refresh has done the long years pervised services. So I imagined a mechanical.
- The lighting is not sooo perfect, but that's just the design due to mechanical keyboards. Therefore, there is no deduction.
- The design may be a bit of getting used to. But I like the edgy yet simple design of the keyboard. Only on the piano lacquer inlay they could do without - the nobody needs. What the color with orange and light gray accents is certainly a matter of taste - but because it really is just about small accents, it is ok. Ich finds good.
The keyboard is pleasant hard which it stands bombproof on the table. :)
- The palm rest does not do what it should. It is much too small and "shaky". This one has been much better seen in other keyboards. With such a premium keyboard it might have been like to something bigger with cushions. Logitech has really even keyboards that solve in its own house, the better.
- The cables are often described as thick and bulky. Since I do not intend to enter into a more intimate relationship with the cable I do not care. I see even more positive because it is also in accordance durable. To me it makes a more sophisticated look.
- Have the Macro and multimedia keys no mechanical switch but with Rubber Domes I find critical. The are so seldom used that it 1 and 2. do not mind that would have much greater must be if it would also have mechanical keys. From so that's fine. The also have a pleasant stop and fall from the feeling not so much out of character.
- The rotary volume control is a good solution. Perfect resistance and works very well.
As far as positive - at least in many parts. But now we come to a shadow over the cure Logitech World.
The coating of the keys is not as good as one would wish. In my case, for example, greater abrasion is already after this short period of use on the S key. Say the coating begins to dissolve itself. In my G15 Refresh buttons do not have to go out like new despite intensive use for gaming until the end. Is a mystery to me why the coating of the G710 + has failed worse.
That in itself would not be so tragic. The caps on a mechanical keyboard can be so easily switch ... there is only one problem: Logitech finds it impossible these caps - the yes now a dime items are - nachzuliefern when it is damaged. One is to send in as a customer so forced the complete keyboard instead of the simpler - and much cheaper! - To tread the way customers simply send a replacement cap.
Other hardware manufacturers are as much further. eg Microsoft, Patriot, Roccat just to name 3 who all sent to me for problems items ... sometimes significantly after expiration of the warranty period on goodwill!
Due to the problems with the Caps (coating), the too small palm rest and the relatively high price to get to 3 stars.
Granted, the whining at a high level, but Logitech calls indeed a price at a high level on. Since the small things and especially the service have to be right. If the service of Logitech would be better if there were 4 stars with trend direction. 5
