A true all-rounder, as it can be used much more versatile than just for Macro. The sharpness is looking absolutely second to none in this price segment. Even with a D40 (6MP, little good ISO-levels) can fly, the scan quickly crawl around on a flower and you can see every hair on the back ...
Color and contrast values are stunning part and the VR uses one in every walk of life. And it was just that a good 60% more good pictures to come out, if you have right up close, the tendency to shake is large, even with faster shutter speeds.
However, it has the objective in itself. The first pictures are apparently nothing. I have about 3 months to really rauszuholen good photos out of the thing, because you have to know the specifics first.
For example, I agree with previous speakers not that one must not dim. In 2.8 the depth of field is so small that not even a small flower fully sharp bekommtm when rangeht to 30cm. Clear that is typical of wide-open macros, but my experience shows that it only from F8.0 demonstrates its full power, ie above-average benefit all very close macro on this glass from a rather geschlossnenen panel.
Since then the grandiose VR of öftern helps a lot, as you can clearly go deep with the exposure time. To F8.0 one has to take part a lot of time with his motives, because it takes several shots to make sense to implement the depth of field behavior at the subject.
From 8.0 you can pretty much on everything from 33cm to infinity draufhalten, it come out always fascinating images. Sometimes it seems like the light and contrasts are even more beautiful than in reality.
Conclusion:
No lens for automatic programs (who does?). Learning time bitterly necessary in order to dominate the glass. Incredibly high speed, but with an open aperture partially difficult Focus in Macro range. Fade brings insane growth in Macro Focus. In all exposure conditions, the cream of the crop in terms what color reproduction and contrast. VR very helpful.
Great product!
