It is pleasantly light and relatively narrow, fits comfortably in your hand, the buttons incl. Navigation key have a good pressure point. The display is very clear and easy to read. It affects not only high quality but is actually well made.
The mobile phone can recognize MicroSD cards up to 2GB, fortunately is already included a 1GB card included. The scope of delivery are NOKIA headphones (average quality), a USB cable for connecting to the PC as well as a charger.
The connection to the PC via the USB cable is no problem, the MicroSD card is recognized there as an additional storage device. It is thus possible to comfortably MP3 files, photos, etc. to transfer between PC and mobile phone. However, if you also have access to telephone contacts, etc. will need the Nokia PC Suite, which is however not included. However, this can be downloaded for free from the Nokia website down.
There are all the "classic" features (calendar, alarm clock, etc.) that are expected of a cell phone available. Likewise, the familiar menu navigation of Nokia phones.
The mobile phone has an extra music keys and on the back an additional speaker. Turning the phone around, so this speaker acts like a small speaker. The sound is acceptable to good - but quieter pieces seem not so convincing. By contrast, good to very good sound reproduction when using headphones via the 3.5 mm AV connector. However, I do not use the supplied headphones NOKIA but ear canal headphones from Sennheiser. A pure music player does not replace the Nokia 5130 in my opinion. These offers pure music player (such as iPod) just more space but also better sound reproduction.
Facilities also include a 2 megapixel camera without flash. Still pictures are taken in 1600 * 1200 resolution and saved in .JPG. Thus snapshots can make in acceptable quality, but again not more. Video recording (with sound!) Takes place in 176 * 144 resolution and is about QuickTime (H.263 encoding) playable. However, recording resolution is much too low. Videos are therefore already on the phone is not good to look at and pixelated.
You can also submit using your mobile phone! Language is quite clearly transmitted by the microphone and fairly well reproduced by the receiver. Similarly, when using the speakerphone made me not quite so convinced. If the cell phone at the table is not always well understood by the rear speaker interlocutor. Also, (at least in my previous phone calls) the language should not be located very close to the hands-free microphone while, sometimes transmitted quite choppy.
Summary: An affordable and well-equipped processed mobile which allows you to fine phone. It is also lightweight and easy to operate and you can also listen to music by the way, or the other way around: A music phone with which you can also make calls fine. For ordinary claims recommended!
