After all the warnings and potential complications I was a little unsure before first use, so I changed it (as described in the instructions) only veeery carefully and tried only in the first stage. Since I have my legs always depilated, I started later with this, so it is also worthwhile for the expensive bulbs.
Initially therefore only the armpits, bikini line and underarms. It was very bright, but did not hurt the skin.
After the first application I became bolder and have 2 weeks later increase the flash intensity (illicitly) equal to level 3.
But this was for me not a problem, you quickly get used to just to look, because the flashes are really very bright, but again no pain to it in a different direction. At most, a slight prick when a hair was not shaved very tidy away but no comparison to the epilation!
Since I was 3 weeks vacation, I only can do it again after four weeks. The result was that the outgoing underarm hair was partially back. In the bikini area had hitherto done little, but his arms were already clearly much less hairy.
After the holidays, I started with the legs.
I now have the legs the third one flashed and am very happy with the result! Already the 2nd time you could later realize that I had the device not enough set close to the previous flash, because you could accurately detect the "holes", where the lightning has impinged and around the re-growth.
The arms are now almost completely free and shoulders may have even half of hair. The bikini I have only times put back because the effect was barely visible there and me the other areas were more important.
Pain I have never had to step 4 of 5, only sometimes this prick, but this is hardly really uncomfortable. Also any subsequent reactions like redness, swelling or hypersensitivity. Of course, the legs are always warm to the application, but with a little moisturizer that was after 5 minutes no longer a problem.
Conclusion: I would not hesitate to buy it again, even if the price had almost stopped me, but it really is a very good alternative for epilation or shaving. Also the speed until the next lightning is much longer than it takes to make a fresh set the device again.
