It does what it's supposed ideal, namely play DVDs. The USB connection works perfectly: music, photos, and DivX movies (.avi, .mpg, ..) are reproduced from the stick without delay or jerky. The slide in the photos are accompanied with located in the key pieces of music. Fine !!
The DVD player is very quiet, so he hardly noticeable works to himself.
To rip music tracks to a USB stick I have not tried it yet - but I prefer to use my PC.
I have not (yet) HD TV and have why can not try the HD-upscaling.
My verdict: Up on the last 2 points, I could not test, the player is highly recommended!
