The Candy Grabber is delivered in a cardboard box. Particularly large it is not natural. It is about 28cm long, 20cm wide and 35cm high. With 1,5kg the device is a flyweight. As might be expected, there is a complete course of plastic housing. Although I expected a cheap processing, the Candy Grabber still looks really decent and leaves a comfortable first impression.
Supplied with plastic coins. In my delivery was a nice note with the German Note that the German instructions on a specific website can be down loaded. Free of course. I found unusual, but a guide you need not necessarily, because the operation is simple and understandable.
First, batteries are used. Do not be alarmed, but for the operation are actually 3 Type D batteries required! These are the very very thicknesses; o) You are not supplied. Commercially I put about 2.50 euro per battery. The batteries are inserted behind a cover with screw on the bottom.
On the cover there is a small opening. Here the candy or small capsules are filled.
How it works: The Griffin machine is turned on. A plastic coin is inserted into the Münzwerk. Matching fairground music is heard. With the three levers on the front of the gripper is controlled in the interior. The gripper arm can forward, backward, right and left are controlled. If you have something in their sights, the gripper can be driven down. The blade open, an object to be grasped. If one has grasped something, the arm has to be moved over the opening nor quickly. The object is released, falls with fortune in the opening and can be found below. Once a capsule or a candy falls into the bay, you will hear cheers! The machine stops and the game is over. He that is not fast enough, listen to after a while faster music. The unit will stop then shortly thereafter with a loser noise. Even then it's game over. A game lasts so for more than 60 seconds.
In the product description is written, you can collect as much candy as possible in 60 seconds. This is incorrect, because a game ends, as with the right gripping machines and when something was successfully transported to the exit. Is also meaningful!
Tips:
- Machine never cram too! Best lightly cover the bottom.
- The best way it works when the candy just barely cover the bottom inside.
- Are suitable for super normal candy and everything has approximately the same size and shape: Schokobons of Kinder Chocolate, Werther's Original, Take 2 or even even popcorn.
- The aforementioned capsules go, as long as there are very small. They are known from the 50 cent toy machines.
- What does not work: lollipops, candy big, big caps, toys which is greater than about 3x3cm or difficult.
What is actually noticed very positive to me, is the force of the blade. While real grip machines that fished like to once again let go, that's not the case with the Candy Grabber! The accesses properly and keeps the matter and determined. When Candy Grabber disappointment remains from so.
Less like me have these 3 things:
- The volume of the music can not be selected. Who is playing extensively, which will go straight to the mind the annoying fair tooting. Remedy brings a tape: Simply glue through the speaker and it is only half as loud!
- Just as the coin slot is designed, you could omit the same also. The game will start already before the coin is right in there. Man holding plastic coin or similar object easily in the coin slot and pulls it out again. The game runs. This could have been solved much nicer.
- The plastic coins can, if they are really quite pure pressed, remove the device from under a flap again. If the machine is filled, the removal designed on the bottom as a little stiff.
Now we do not even have Christmas and the part droning all day with us up and down! Why? Because our 4 year old son has discovered it. He likes it so incredibly well. He dominated this machine like a pro that has astounded me! He fished everything possible to get out, for example Diddl figures ... We finally can give him the Candy Cultivators not fill every day with sweets, where would it end ...
So just to clarify it: The Candy Grabber is suitable for children and adults. It gives so much fun and is sometimes a very different employment! It is challenging, but still not too difficult. And the addiction factor increases each time ...
