- The guts "on / off" switch is easy to do and it is not even protected by the case! So even while toting hull 200gr you are not sure you do not accidentally turn the keyboard by sliding it into a backpack !! A peak for a nomadic product! I takes away a star for that.
-The battery consumption. 4 AAA batteries, it's heavy, and it is two times more than the Apple Wireless Keyboard. That said, the (rechargeable, bought from my pocket so) had basically one day in intensive use (someone typing text, stopping every 5 minutes for inspiration, or a student who takes courses ).
- BlueTooth synchronization is not stable over time. In other words, each time that they take to recharge the batteries, the keyboard "forgets" that it is synchronized with the iPad, and must be repeated manipulation 'twinning of the two.
Alongside the advantages:
++ Compactness. 29cm long, exactly the dimensions of the Apple Wireless Keyboard. So for someone used to the keyboard Apple, typos zero, zero adjustment period to Logitech: very nice. The affected is great, the keys bounce well and not at all tired wrist.
++ Robustness. Plastic of good quality holster, solid, same keys. It is a true mobile product.
+++ Price: strictly identical design that is 20 euros cheaper than Apple.
++ Function keys are convenient, although still quite gadgets (the keyboard shortcut to display its pictures, I will not use it all the time, but a shortcut that would have sent the Mail app, it would have been nice but y 'has not ...)
++ Pairing is fast, but you do not have either user manual, so do not be a complete néohpyte in Ipad to get by. In fact you have to go in to the iPad Settings, turn on Bluetooth and then activate the connection to the back of the keyboard, and go on the keyboard (without using the Shift key) a numerical code that the iPad will recognize. Easy, but without manual I still sought.
Ultimately, it is a good product, well finished, robust, with a solid case, and the keyboard is so nice that I'm using it as at home in troubleshooting.
