I use my pressure washer with a pool of rainwater collected through a first pump itself with a filter. So I do not think it was really necessary filter. I still mounted as recommended by the manufacturer and, indeed, the state of the filter after use leaves no doubt about its usefulness.

Absolutely essential, therefore.

Otherwise, as it does not really appear in the photos, this piece is easily removed and cleaned after use, the assembly is comfortable (shame it's beyond the same) and the constitution is very robust.

I agree with other comments on the fact that this piece could well be sold automatically with the cleaner.
