There was a time, there was for me England the benchmark at new pop music. But what the last few months comes from California, is immmer again fantastic. Be it Family of the Year (someone has lately heard a more beautiful song as a "summer girl"?), Cayucas, Lord Huron and now Milo Greene. Again, it is modern acoustic folk with polyphonic vocal harmonies. With songs like "Silent Way", the sun shines directly through the window. A perhaps more important indication of the bean counters who think many songs = good CD. 4 of tracks are not separate songs, but more reconciliations, no 2 minutes. There remain 9 "right" songs. There are many pearls to discover. Have a good time there! Who has more tips in the same direction, like ... Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver and Mumford & Sons are not really my thing ... Milk Carton Kids still come to mind ...
