Here are my experiences and how to connect (contrary to instructions):
1) power adapter (do not connect to the grid). Careful attention to the Molex connector, can be connected to IDE 3; 5/51/4 inch devices can be rotated (because the "rubber" from the plug is compliant, therefore only later connected to the grid)
2.) Simply the appropriate adapter cable to the device to be read (prerequisite: Connecting Sata or IDE interface)
3.) Now connect Stomadapter to power. Lt. Manufacturers should power be placed directly on the device and only then the adapters are plugged. When this slips to the adapter, a short circuit is possible. That's why I emfehle the other procedure)
4) USB cable adapter plug (if not already) then plug the other end into a USB input on the computer.
5.) Shortly thereafter, in the Explorer, the new / old hard drive appears.
Tip 1: On devices without external power supply (2.5 inches THE HDDs) not funzt the adapter to the USB HUB !!
Tip 2: The device to be connected to master jumpers, if that does not funzt: electricity from, and resolve adapter device other jumpers (eg Cable Select.). Then all over again
Drivers (except for Win98 - and the lie) not required
