Disappointing speed: (((on old motherboard)

I bought 2 cards SATA / eSATA 3 for my 2 PC with 2 SATA SSD.
Connecting and easy installation, update the latest driver OK and after few I realize that tested the reading speed tops out at 170MB / s, while I was at 230 MB / s SATA 2 o_O
In short SATA 1 to the price of 3, I do not want my 2 SATA motherboards enough for me even if flange SSDs ... Too bad!
All this comes from the PCI bottleneck to avoid this the ASUS PCI x16 is more suitable, but it takes a second PCI Express slot available!

I turn my cards and refund without problem via Amazon, still the TOP!

3 things to know if you buy these cards:

1 - it takes PCI-e 2.0
2 - must ALREADY SATA 3 on your motherboard (no need on old configs even AHCI)
3 - you can use 2 eSATA or SATA ports at the same time (or 1 + 1 eSATA SATA)

First, this card need one PCI-x1 slot epxress with a Version 2 and second, your mainobard to-have-have a SATA3 chips derived, namely your mainboard supporting SATA3-have to, if not, this card can not help you to reach this best performance for SATA3 SSD. Locally we-have tested with a Samsung SSD, i7, asus mainboard, with this card i got a 350mb / s read and 320mb / s write.

Could you maybe touch with us and we shoulds find a better way to solve the problem you have.
