Aphrodite (Audio CD)

Customer Review

With my review I start msl on quite superficial ... Kylie looks finally out back as Kylie !!!
But not only visually, but also musical "Aphrodite" the follow-up album of "Fever" (2001) could be. Kylie is focusing on its strengths, offering the fans of pure disco pop. Gone are the days when she tried frantically with "Body Language" to crack the US market or to create with "X", a mixture of pop and experimental sounds an Opus. With Stuart Price, who produced many tracks, a unwiederstehlicher dense sound has emerged, which is nevertheless typical Kylie. Hardly parallels to its other production or Madonna's "Confessions on a Dancefloor"!
Here, Kylie relies not only on immediately catchy disco anthems, but also shows courage with tracks like "Aphrodite", "Cupid Boy" or "Closer" that reveal its full glory only after repeated listening.
Conclusion: "Aphrodite" is one of the best Kylie albums ever. If you like well-produced dance-pop or Kylie, you'll love this CD. Chart default, it also runs very well for them. "Aphrodite" is her second successful album in most countries of the world in general, and even in the US she managed a respectable 19th place !!! The cover I find also very well done, although it reminds actually a Parfume-promotion, but the overall concept it fits 100%.
