I dream very often of really good music.
no music, which would buy "little monster". no music for ever-yesterday, who had with m @ donna a c @ ming-out and since nothing else can be close to him, and even insult everyone and everything that their queeeeen not pay homage. and no music for unerz @ p @ Gene belgängsta who struggle through their block.
just "really good music". no matter how old or new it may be. Music, which has after 5, 10, 20 or 300 years from now last no patina. music that sounds like "immortality" and not just the latest trend reflects.
there are some exceptional artist who managed to create such music or interpret.
the great composers of the last centuries: Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Chopin ... as well as John Lennon, Prince, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland or Elvis because of me and Cher.
Annie Lennox also belongs to this series, even if it does not count commercially to the mega-successful. but in a true diva is not about success. It's about personality and the ability to fascinate people and to be a role model to them.
Annie Lennox has this gift, and it has voice, it has heart and it is unmistakable. at the Eurythmics could already embody all: angel or red-colored l @ SBE. and her solo career has given us with min. just good music entertain as in the times with Dave Stewart.
DIVA was her first solo album, and it is the force behind all their works. whether pop, soulful, jazzy or bluesy. good it gets a little.
WHY sounds even after 20 years in each ear, just like walking on broken glass. with the brilliant video to Little Bird has the copyist mdonna even delivered great template for their own glorification.
STAND BY ME abducted, as well as WHY, in the days when you had real heartbreak.
the recorded in mono song KEEP YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL forms a contrasting conclusion of this panel.
sadly lacking STEP BY STEP. the song was written for this album, but was then a maxi published only as a b-side, and later it was Whitney Houston made famous.
DIVA was the start of a great solo career. with each subsequent album was Annies music personal and somewhat opinionated. but that makes true divas: they do not comply. they do nothing in order to come necessarily in the headlines. they stand on the trends. They are real.
