First:
- Flying under ideal conditions even 1000 meters high
- Power ingenious video (depending on the camera)
- Flies very stable
- Is beginner-friendly (Einstiegsdro (g) ne)
I have for some months, the AR.Drone 2.0 Power Edition, for some more unusual flight maneuvers (via QGroundcontrol) I have a second Ar. Bought Drone. Here the Elite Edition in sand. For this purpose it was equipped with a flight recorder of Parrot.
I have the Ar. Drone 2.0 flown with the iOS and Android app, in addition to secondary camera. As with my "Erstdrone" I have retrofitted ball bearings.
The AR.Drone 2.0 is very easy to operate. Basically, you take it out of the package, loads the LiPo battery with the supplied charger, this is a. Then you choose on your smartphone Wi-Fi of the Drone. If not already done, you download the free app "Free Flight" by Parrot. If you then have a little more experience we can grow well with other apps "in the air".
The range is depending on the smartphone / tablet at about 100-150 meters, in the app, the signal strength and the remaining battery capacity of the drone appears. The "live image" is depending on the distance and hence transfer rate for fast movements jerky and it comes with the Live mode for block formation.
Videos are recorded by the Drone in H.264 at 1280x720 at 30 FPS. Depending on the mode, you can leave the record live video on its iOS / Android device. Thus even a video is recorded, has a USB stick (FAT32) or a Parrot Flight recorders are connected to the USB port of the Drone. Who wants to miss anything selected in the Free Flight app "Recording to SD card" The maximum altitude, the slope angle, airspeed, outdoor or indoor mode and many more can be set.
If you start the Drone, it floats if everything is OK stable in the air. This is among other things from the ultrasonic scanning and the 60 FPS camera at the bottom. The camera registers movement and maintains the Drone so on position.
Flying is depending on the choice of control mode individually .. In absolute mode, beginners find perfect deal, then flies
the Drone always in the one articulated in the direction of the smartphone .. No matter how you want to fly .. you will have fun with it!
Some things you should definitely pay attention:
- Before every flight a "Flat Trim" perform (in AR.FreeFlight) and in other apps
- After about 3-4 "Battery lengths" times a reset (needle or similar to reset button)
- Propeller always install in the correct order. There are A and C .. If propeller to install it wrong does not lift the Drone off .. (Correct arrangement when you stand behind the Drone (ie from a camera filming itself away) is clockwise CACA .. shall not be hard to remember be: D
- Allow to cool before charging batteries
- Not fly below 0 degrees, otherwise the LiPo batteries can break down so quickly that one even with 30% battery charge does not create more landing
- Trees shun ...
Otherwise, try and have "joy of flying" ....
