Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidz (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Tray Deee accompanied Snoop Dogg already since the early nineties, so it was only a matter of time until they jointly published an album. Together with Goldie Loc they form the trio Tha Eastsidaz. Their debut "Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz" came in 2000 on the market, has therefore about a similar sound like Snoop's "Tha Last Meal", is high but not nearly as strong. In addition to several known Producern as Battlecat, Fredwreck, Meech Wells, Soopafly or Warren G the three stars like Rappin '4-Tay, Jayo Felony, Bad Azz, Butch Cassidy, Kurupt, Nate Dogg Xzibit or took into the studio, which help the part but very boring beats spice things up.
A fairly ordinary start making "Now We Lay 'Em Down", a typical West Coast track with fast beat and the usual Claps. Overall, certainly very good, but not a real thriller, although it must be said that particularly Tray Deee and Kokane very well deal with it. Nicely chilled and very layed back comes "Tha Eastsidaz" therefore, which one sounds at once that the three come from Los Angeles, California. Unfortunately, the next song "Dogg House" and "Give It 2 'Em Dogg" not really done and begin to quickly get bored one. Since people like Rappin '4-Tay, Tha Locs and Bugsy Seigal not help much, it remains the rather negative impression. Much better is because hit single and sound bomb "Got Beef". A worn-sounding instrumental that both properly sprayed dynamics, but also invites you to relax, to the Eastsidaz and their guests Jayo Felonyund Sylk E. Fine, the raps here with Snoop Dogg best - so you have a good West Coast rap sound. "Nigga 4 Life" also goes out really well, which is due to the driving beats and gloomy and powerful background melody. Even Snoop's discovery Bad Azz is here at the start and puts the same time a hammer performance out, but also the Doggfather raps personally been really great, especially in the chorus. Again a little more relaxed and in typical LA style is "G'd Up" held, which was indeed also released as a single. All in all a pretty good number, but a bit too monotonous sounds and one each is happy times when feature Butch Cassidy attaches to the chorus, because this is really succeeded. Fast and with a bit more power the really cool "ghetto" has what it very much fun to listen to, especially the casual Rhymes, derived from the Eastsidaz, Kam, Kokane and Nate Dogg this time, are a real treat. Unusually hard for Warren G production would be "Big Bang Theory". The song makes to its name, the location is really is a Big Bang. Gloomy and hard thumping beats that swept away a right from the start, to a Kurupt and Xzibit, the rap down everything awesome and Snoop Dogg, Goldie Loc, Tray Deee, CPO and Pinky them look pretty old. Clearly the best track on the album. According to again very boring "Be Thankful" and "How You Livin '", which is again saved by Butch Cassidy reasonably, you (Kurupt & Butch Cassidy feat.) Achieved with "Take It Back To '85" a very freshe number. As the title suggests, the Instrumental in Old School Style Party held the 80, thus exerts great mood, especially since all the really great rhymen. After a mix of G-Funk with Brazilian samba sounds "Pussy Sells", with particular Snoop is in the spotlight. Overall, though, a song that is not likely to appeal to everyone due to its unique sound. At the end of "Snoop Dogg Presents Tha Eastsidaz" one with "LBC Thang" (feat. Butch Cassidy) and "Life Goes On" will again offer two quieter and chilled out songs, but are not real highlights and thus the through-blown picture of this plate adjusted round.
Despite his platinum debut of Eastsidaz is not really convincing. While it there is no really bad song, but too much mean goods that is just starting to go ripples and get bored soon. Since it would have been better to cut quite long tracklist on 13-14 songs, because the songs could have been successful hammer out a quite good album. Each, the Snoop Dogg's "Tha Last Meal" like you can already put your heart into this record, like those which the West Coast rap like between 1998-2002. Previously listen but is not an error.
