Dynasty Warriors 4 Hyper was the last part of the series, which offered a German and a Japanese language edition until today there are only English with subtitles, which made me very, very disturbing.
The graphic has changed a lot over the years and yet I find DW4H in the overall picture of his relation very consistent, nothing stands out and nothing goes down, it just fits. In today's environment, the parts graphic is very nice, but the fighting and combos seem somehow so untrue, not quite right in the picture.
PC gamers have been able to stuff DW series anyway not much compared to DW6 I prefer anytime DW4H also compared to the Samurai Warriors series crosses to me, just by providing an own officer and even the voice (s), DW4H still significantly better.
DW4H offers enough story missions (although, of course, overlap and repeat - but less than in Samurai Warriors 2 for example) with a logical story and characters that can be drawn into the story you quite. It's fun to play battles on a particular sequence to unlock certain events (weapons or characters).
The then new duel mode where you can compete against enemy officers and the output is important for the morale of the troops, requires quite good playing skills (and most especially against Lu Bu).
I would recommend to anyone with old graphics (you can get used to it, despite low-resolution and pappiger PS2 textures) has no problems and after like a decent Hack'n'Slay examined in this style for the PC, DW4H highly recommended. I play it every year, to Xbox 360 I have only DW6 Empires.
