That puts them on accent instead of a complete Neuveränderung (such as with a few rap style), I personally like better, because it acts more credible. The new album of Madonna is not nearly as diverse as "Music" - for homogenous, deep and not so easily accessible. The pieces you have to listen several times actually, before they ignite. Although the vocoder effects are still there, but much less frequently than in "Music". A few beat gadgets are also heard; However, the hervortretendste instrument is the acoustic guitar. This suggested to the last album already and is just consistently reinforced here. "American Life" is no longer a teen-pop. A piece like "X-Static Process" that works only with acoustic guitar and bass - something it has not yet given her. Many seem with this development not to be satisfied and to wish the 80 style of Madonna back - but the it will never again give her a fortune. "American Life" is indeed good for the dance floor, and headphones you should sometimes hear. But it's best to go with the car !! Nevertheless, only 4 stars because: - Once again the lyrics are missing. I read sometimes like to! - Not a single song in a major key, but are written in a minor key really all.
