Customer Review

As a die-hard Eagles fan who is even now quantitatively not exactly spoiled with albums of Messrs Henley, Frey & Co. (it is more than questionable whether it überhaut for 'Long Road Out Of Eden' will be a new album) you giert course always looking for bands that go at least to some extent in this direction. Unfortunately, there was very little in recent years, so that one had to make do with older albums such as Venice, if you desire had once again on sophisticated compositions and perfeken harmony vocals. But the wait is definitely over! High South you can almost call it in the same breath as the gods of the West Coast, they provide but with 'Now' an album of song material from which readily leading also by the band of country-rock - could come - those same Eagles. It is the mid-tempo tracks like 'I'd Rather Miss You' or the numerous ballads like the beautiful 'The Best Is Yet To Come' are unmistakably inspired thereof, but also the rockier 'Love Is not Through With You Yet' is reminiscent the compositions of Glenn Frey. All this comes nevertheless authentic and therefore acts in no way put or even plagiarized, it's more of a deep bow before a great role model.

Playing tips are the great theme song 'Now' and ... Oh ... it's just all great! So please listen through from cover to cover and then the whole thing again from the beginning.

Conclusion: Rare me a debut album so bowled as 'Now' from South High. Hopefully the boys of the success is granted, they have fully deserved!
