Including hides heavy cast iron. Benefit of this is that the machine when Brotteigkneten hardly moves (watch anyway: it travels and pops from the worktop, then certainly not without a great property in the weight ...)
The operation of the Kitchenaid is quite narrow and difficult. Small small lever, fummeliges acrylic plastic, but the latter is at least dishwasher safe. The stainless steel bowl is also interacting with their riveted handle made in Korea but very cheap. At this price I expect more tactile and visual quality.
Stirring: The Kitchenaid stirred very rapidly, faster than Bosch and Co. Who processed eggs, eg for Bisquit, should make sure that it happens here very quick.. A look into the supplied Cooking book gives indications of speeds and times.
Kneading: This has to be interrupted repeatedly, because the machine does not cover the dough from the edge of the bowl. There remain always stuck parts, which already stands out during stirring. In the kneading it is clearly visible: the complete dough does not reach the Kitchenaid. A spatula should always have on hand. One can live with it. I would not expect it, however. (The steps for configuring the mixer to be part of the manual. For a satisfactory result, we are not entering-Knead well, then the beater is running with loud uproar on the metal bowl along. We can only seek a compromise.)
Accessories Abdeckacryl: Giving adding flour and while stirring more fluid batters he prevented spraying and at best also dusting.
When spraying make it work, the dust is not so pretty. Most importantly, the addition of ingredients on the narrow fill opening is a real nuisance. For the impatient souls like me at the latest when the drive must be lifted but, and this is not possible with the plastic cover, because the stirrer offend. The Kitchenaid known as Fossil of 50 years ago halt no parking function.
Further, a fit and remove the stirrer unntötig complicated. It must be pressed and turned, please correct direction and at the same time. You have to practice. After about 3 years is all but in our unit difficult hooks and clamps.
Conclusion: The Kitchenaid itself is nothing special. She has trouble with large quantities of dough, is very noisy and inconvenient to use. But they can of course all somehow, and to get to the cakes, bread or pancakes with her. But Bosch for 130.00 EUR may all much better, quieter and more effortless. Who really wants to bake often, should look again, it has to offer its competitors.
But one thing at the Kitchenaid is unbeatable: The design ...
So if a nice piece for the kitchen needs, what is rarely used, is well served by her!
