The equipment has been delivered to me with Euro plug and was not as described by a British plug part. Here I suppose therefore that Lumie has since reworked again and, if one now appointed, may assume that you acquire a device with a standard plug for German outlets.
In Lichtwecker a battery is integrated that keeps the time up to an hour. This is in case of power failure is a good thing. However, this battery is not replaceable.
The necessary halogen lamp is also included, but must be used by removing the hood, before you can take the unit into operation.
The MSRP of the device is just under 160, - Euro, but this is too much of a price for my taste when the equivalent performance obtained considered.
For the 100, - Euro I feel the light alarm clock but as a good choice.
In the video a few small errors have crept declaration or holding extended explanations here is important in order to avoid misunderstandings. These are:
The maximum brightness light while raising can not be adjusted, ie the device is ALWAYS at sunrise to the maximum possible brightness high.
The sunset simulation to sleep can also be used without sound by simply dispense with the setting of an appropriate tone. The issue raised by me in the video permanent sound off ... Since I have a little bit lost. This displays the tone after the end of the sunset simulation is not completely out, but the sound is running on low level to Einläutung sunrise on.

Last note on video since the time unfortunately was too close to call to address all of points:
There have written some reviewers here that the clock tends to pursue. I can confirm this. Whenever you "herumdoktort or drove around werkt" in the setting menu of the alarm clock, it seems as if in this moment, the clock does not continue to run internally. This only applies to the general settings menu, where you can set the alarm, time, alarm and other stuff.
Since I anyway always imagine my alarm clock for a few minutes, I have no problem with that, once a week, readjust the clock.
But problems could have particular people in order that want to wake up every day at a different time. Here one must therefore know where to put the priorities.
Also I speak in the video every now and then to compare to my old Philips light alarm clock. This has unfortunately thrown after 2 years warranty time for the end of the speaker function on board. Even when everything else on Lichtwecker still works.
For comparison Philips or Lumie I can hold on to me that the Lumie offers some more features, the Philips is designed but use technology better and more user friendly.
At Philips it is also the maximum brightness intensity with which you want to be woken specify what the Lumie unfortunately does not go here.
Unfortunately, it can also be provided only an alarm clock. Who needs two, should be there but maybe look at Philips, as the light alarm clock with good lighting quality and the current average model, which indeed the Lumie 250 is priced almost on one level, have integrated two alarms.
It seems to be in the market for light alarm clock so that what can not a machine, so the other can and vice versa. One can certainly dig to choosing the right device by some models and manufacturers.
For me the Lumie therefore deserves despite the described weaknesses 3.5 rounded up 4 star.
He deserves the deductions described only because:
- Tends the time with daily change of settings to pursue
- Hours and minutes are not adjusted separately, and always passes through the entire 24 hours
- You can only provide an alarm clock (and I was by Philips yes the luxury of two alarm clocks used)
