Escape from Death Island

Actually, I was one of those who have given the game a fair chance. Even though I am perhaps the only one. After all, I'm a huge fan of zombies and the Dead Iceland series. Happy those days to the first part for a long time, months in advance soon, picked up with joy from the local GameStop, played through and I was satisfied. The sequel, Dead Iceland: Riptide was a bit disappointing, but not really bad. Was just simply more of the same. So I was happy then, as an escape Dead Iceland was announced. Although first and trailers have not looked for a masterpiece, so I've been looking forward to an entertaining adventure zombies. Now it has appeared and I started right at the publication date to gamble it. My expectations were not very high, but as already mentioned entertaining game I've expected. And what can I say ... I was disappointed. Basically makes the game fun, but there are plenty of things that make it easy to mess completely.

I Fang times with the action. This might well have to be interesting. A new tropical island near Banoi (the venue of the first part). Everywhere zombies and then the scenes, where our main character, I'll call it has delusions. Just what is a shame in the matter: everything was so unspectacular staged that I have partially skipped the cutscenes bored. These consist only of drawn pictures, but they are strung together so disjointed that it seems ridiculous in some places. Here one has ever given away huge potential. The game could have points by a super action among all zombie games. But is useless if it was staged with a tension, like cutting bread into slices.

The gameplay is fun basically. One can choose to sneak around the zombies around or to storm to get rid of them and kill them. What is the better choice? Could not care less because neither is working properly. Once I wanted to sneak, but had a weapon to destroy a barricade to progress. Stupid that a case notice the zombies. That it had escaped unnoticed with. Otherwise, the zombies have an exclamation mark over their head that fills slowly. Is it fully, you have noticed a. But fighting is worse and for a reason: the game is damn unfair. Man dies partially with about 3 hits. Only the game takes no account of it. That depends on many virtual deaths. Now just about the technology. As you can see not hard, the game has a comic graphics. Nevertheless, the game just is not pretty. Rein graphically I would imagine that it could run with a few smears on an old console like the Wii or PS2. The prettiest was perhaps when I've seen sometimes high in the sun. But even that looked into, for example Dead Space from 2008 better. 6 or 7 years ago, the game might have looked still nice. Now simply outdated. Muddy textures, a few details and no noteworthy effects. Add to this a gruesome English speech. A German Synchro there are not only subtitles.

Escape Dead Iceland could be a small surprise hit. Basically, everything is nice. Only a dull story presented, stupid zombies, a lot of frustrating points, outdated graphics and bad Synchro screw up the whole game. And I really want to like the game. But just as Zombie and Iceland Dead fan. So I wanted to give 3 stars, simply push back as a fan both eyes. But 2 stars are then but a more honest assessment. If you're a fan of the two things, you can play for a small price but sometimes give a chance.
