Review: Escape Dead Iceland (PC)

I am a reporter, get me out of here !!!!!
But way off the island, tjahaa, which is not so easy. And anyway, we wanted to reflect that back, so our hero controllable at least, now he is there times by ^^.

The first does but first an introductory level with a Ninja agent who reflected by a research laboratory and thereby encounters the mystery of all the failed experiments: Zombies! Not long shilly, will assassinated and sought an output, but is! Spoiler alert :), here ends the first short Tell and we make a jump to the main game (the game by the way almost as brachial proceeds more!).

Here are three mid-twenties on a small yacht on the go anywhere in the world's oceans in order to pursue a story. The Group Geopharm namely, invites illicit and very doll secret and nasty diverse cargo onto an island in Banoi Atoll. This, the two boys and the girl as a convinced environmentalist and Jour Alien course not allow or want to necessarily get to the bottom.
In short, they finally land on the island and go some strange signs to make plenty of photographic evidence and experience a fine tremor.
But the earthquake widens from the island also the sea and brings the yacht capsized, which our blond hero still trying to prevent completely natural chance. After this mindless action he finds himself because even far from the beach in a container again when he wakes up from the capsizing accident.

From here on, the actual game begins, because we are now on our own and do on the search for their comrades and other evidence and notes of all kinds, what's happened here in heaven's going on or.
After a few steps we encounter already the first zombie as he gleefully feast on a sacrifice and are henceforth intent on scurrying in stealth manner through the right straight, pre surrounded Level ways. Since times geschlupft per Head on a corrugated iron roof, here through a hole in the fence and always nice to meet the undead over. For we are armed only with a camera, which is not really impressed by the Monster.

Some creep moments later we reach a kind of factory or ship hall and from there on it is also smaller puzzles to solve or to search for subject A Action B, and so on! Thus we come finally to our first weapon, the ultimate and very evil screwdriver!
Well, at least you can sneak up on the zombies from behind and then with it to death, uh, Untode, hm, well, they are stabs stop and after a short time, the now lifeless body dissolve.
Where to Go from here and what is coming yet everything will be found in the inventory itself and especially, why our hero behaves partly so strange, you must now find out for yourself ^^.

The whole event is packed in a wonderfully sloping Cellshading, walking around with thick black outlines around all objects and people, so everything looks like a comic book. This fits very well to the oblique, dark-humored scenery and atmosphere.
A soundscape is rather discreetly in the background, but there are plenty of sound effects, in addition to the ubiquitous zombie grumbling halt plenty of everyday sounds that hinder the player's life. Because it is a phone, it begins immediately to vigorously ringing and bystanders Zombies are attentive and go the noise source after.
As well as doing some pretty useful KI is noticeable, because in addition to schlauchigen levels and various scripted events, act the enemy hordes largely as we know them from beloved genre films. Shuffle, ever hungry and always after the noise, individually or in a surprisingly large groups :)!
Practical case for the player, all the zombies have a meter in the form of attention! hovering above him. This fills up suddenly red color when they are aware of the hero and empties with yellow paint, if they lose sight of him, or not have noticed.
Also there is a kind of sound wave effect for the player when he gets within sight of a monster, the waves traveling towards the monitor. A strong indication of a spontaneous retreat behind the next corner ^^.

The game presents itself so well and offers plenty of Kurzweil at relatively stable system, it came while testing only to crash.
Maybe as monotonous to be designated Level-sections are quickly happening and by the quite often vorkommenen fits the hero is always provided for guests at the most unlikely places :)!

Round gets the Dead Iceland fan here a cool spin-off with action-adventure feel.
